With the relaxing of some restrictions, many health services that were postponed due to COVID-19 can now be rebooked where appropriate for your local government.
Due to COVID-19, the current LGIS funding allocation availability has been extended until September 30, 2020.
Contact WorkCare services manager Renee Wockner to find suitable services and how best to use your funds.
From July 1, a new funding allocation and a new panel of service providers and services will also be available.
A notable difference for the 20/21 funding, is that it you will need to spend it within 12 months and it will not rollover.
Members will receive news of further Health and Wellbeing program enhancements and new funding allocations from July 1, 2020.
Online Health Portal
For three years, members have had access to the Online Health Portal as part of the LGIS Health and Wellbeing Program.
In this time, we have had more than 6860 Local Government workers register for the portal from 107 Local Governments.
While the feedback we received regarding the Portal was overwhelmingly positive, a review of the service indicated it was not producing the desired outcomes, in terms of regular use and members taking part.
Users will receive communication on portal access being removed on July 1, 2020.
Moving forward, from July 1, LGIS have decided to allocate funding to a Job Dictionary Project.
Job Dictionaries are helpful for organisations as they assist with managing employee risks throughout their life.
Talking with members and workers' compensation data help us set up a small suite of job dictionaries for common high risk roles that will be available to all LGIS members.
