The 2025 Great West Aussie Adventure (GWAA) has once again energised local government teams across Western Australia, promoting physical activity, teamwork, and friendly competition. Together, the teams covered an incredible 205,364 km, enough to walk around the earth more than five times!
Now in its third year, the challenge continued to grow, with more participants and larger teams than ever before. Collectively, you've burned around 10 million calories, which equates to the same as 28,000 slices of pizza!
The Town of Claremont proudly claimed the top spot for the highest average distance covered, with an impressive 600 kilometres per participant. To celebrate this achievement and to help the Town continue their wellbeing journey, LGIS will provide a complimentary wellbeing seminar for all Claremont staff, focusing on maintaining healthy habits and behaviours. Keep up the good work!
