Cyber security: who to contact in the event of a claim! Back
Print

With institutions such as the Australian Cyber Security Hotline seeing a 16% increase in calls over the past year, it is clear that Australia’s ever-increasing dependency on digital and internet connected technology has made us a target for criminal cyber-attacks.

What happens in the case of a cyber-attack?

  • Member/LGIS will contact the incident response team via Chubb
  • Our dedicated partner Atmos will contact the member/LGIS within the hour
  • In addition to ringing the hotline please ensure you email liabilityclaims@lgiswa.com.au
  • Atmos will triage the incident and provide initial mitigation advice to contain the threat
  • An engagement letter will be issued to the member setting out the role of relevant parties in supporting you through the incident
  • Across the next 72 hours, ongoing support will be provided to the member so that coverage can be confirmed in the background
  • Assistance will be provided, together with a panel of 80+ vendors until the incident is resolved

We recommend reviewing our commercial crime and cyber protection info sheet, which outlines the emergency hotline number and offers guidance on who to contact and what to say should you need to escalate a case. LGIS also offer all members the opportunity to tighten their security through access to our Cyber Phase 4 program (please see previous eNews article for more info).

For more information, please contact our member services team or your regional risk specialist.
