WA local governments ‘recognised healthy workplaces’

Congratulations to the Town of Victoria Park and the Shire of Wyndham East Kimberley on their Silver and Bronze awards in Healthier Workplace WA's Recognised Healthy Workplace Program.

The Town of Victoria Park's Bike to Work Brekky is one of many initiatives in their health and wellbeing program, which aims to improve the health of their staff.

The Shire of Wyndham East Kimberley's staff recently participated in a 10,000 step challenge, one of many initiatives dedicated to employee health.

The LGIS health and wellbeing program is in place to assist you in creating a healthy workplace, improve awareness of health issues, lower risk factors and in turn, improve your workers' safety performance. Health and wellbeing programs improve the general health of workers, assist with retention and attraction of staff, and assist in the reduction of workers' compensation claims.

As a member of LGIS, you receive annual funding allocation and access to a wide range of health services through a panel of professional service providers.

For more information on your health and wellbeing program, contact Renee Wockner, LGIS WorkCare Services Manager, on 9483 8826.
