New workshop – Bouncing back: how to cope with challenges

Improve resilience and develop your team's skills to cope with challenges in the workplace with this new People Risk workshop.

Resilience is about how people recover from adversity, how they 'bounce back' after being challenged beyond their comfort zone. Resilient workplaces with workers will have more success in managing and responding to adversity.

From a local government perspective, LGIS has received 229 psychological injury claims with a total cost of $12.8 million between 2019 and 2023.

Mental, emotional, and behavioural strategies can help build resilience. Through resilience training, one can acquire a variety of skills that can help manage and overcome adversity during challenging times.

This workshop aims to enhance emotional and cognitive resilience, it will help participants to:

  • Understand adversity and its effects
  • Define resilience
  • Increase resilience using a range of evidence-based cognitive, behavioural and positive psychology strategies
