
LGIS is conducting its Ergonomic Champion Workshop on 8 November 2022 and aims to empower and educate key staff (e.g. WHS, HR, Injury Management or ITC staff) to perform basic office ergonomic assessments. These assessments are an important tool for reducing workplace injuries.
The session will provide a variety of skills to allow attendees to leave with the confidence and ability to perform basic ergonomic assessments for other staff members within their local government.

- Understand office ergonomics and how to identify ergonomic hazards
- How ergonomics can assist with reducing the risk of musculoskeletal injury
- Understanding basic office ergonomic assessment processes
- Understanding common adjustments / modifications to improve workstation ergonomics
- Overview of ergonomic equipment including desks, chairs, standing workstations, and other accessories
- Other injury prevention strategies
